På årsmöten granskas styrelsens och föreningens arbete det gångna året. Därtill väljs verksamhetsplan och budget inför kommande verksamhetsår. Det är också på årsmötet som vi bland annat väljer styrelse.
Styrelsen är den grupp personer som får förtroendet att leda föreningens arbete, hantera ekonomin och kontakten med omvärlden. Att välja styrelse är stadgereglerat, det vill säga ett krav för att föreningen ska få existera.
I slutet på mars höll KRISS sitt årsmöte för 2024 och kunde tyvärr inte välja en ny styrelse, det fanns för få nomineringar. Utan styrelse kan föreningen inte finnas kvar och vi tvingades därför ta det första av två årsmötesbeslut på att upplösa Kristna Studentrörelsen i Sverige. Detta är såklart otroligt tråkigt. 

Däremot kunde det väljas en interimstyrelse som får ansvar för ekonomin under 2024, och om det kommer in nya/gamla medlemmar som skulle vilja engagera sig så kan vi avbryta upplösningen. Det är detta vi hoppas på.

Känner du någon som skulle kunna vilja vara engagerad i KRISS? KRISS ger inte enbart ett studiesammanhang utan också ett globalt sammanhang med kristna studenter över hela världen. Det är en fantastisk global rörelse (World Student Christian Federation) som vi är en del av!

From 1st of March – 3rd of March, the members of the preparation team met in Copenhagen to kick off  our annual project “Share the Care”.

Hosted by our Danish Movement YMCA Denmark (KFUM-huset på Amager) the preparation team met and started working on planning and organizing our soon to be happening “Share the Care” - project. Our Regional Secretary Serena gave us a presentation of what the project is precisely about and what has to happen when.

The “Share the Care” project will be implemented in four phases:

• Online workshops and focus groups to understand
  mental health challenges for youth across Europe, by collecting experiences. When**?**
  March-May 2024

• Social Media Campaign for mental health awareness and media literacy opportunities to raise awareness of mental health as a human rights. When? June-October 2024

• Youth conference in Croatia from 28 October to 1 November 2024 to help young people identify mental health discrimination and fight against it

• Buddy and Mentoring program to support young mental-health advocates in becoming multipliers of change. When? October-December 2024

To get started the preparation team discussed their understanding of mental health and the links between mental health and education, identity and global developments. Further, they talked about what they individually and as a team want to achieve during the project. These introductory sessions were facilitated by Cihan (a non-formal education trainer), who will support the prep team the whole year long.

The Youth Department of the Council of Europe opened the Call for Participants of the Youth Peace Camp 2024. The activity will take place on 2-11 July 2024 in the European Youth Centre Strasbourg, with the aim to engage young people and youth organisations from conflict affected regions in dialogue and peacebuilding activities based on human rights education and intercultural learning during and after the camp. In 2024, the Camp will bring up to 60 participants from Cyprus, Kosovo*, South Caucasus, both banks of the river Nistru/Dniestr and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Applications are accepted via Youth application platform (coe.int) until 24 March 2024, 23:59 CET.

The Youth Peace Camp is the flagship activity of the Council of Europe youth sector on promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies. The Youth Peace Camp project was born in 2003 in the framework the programme of the Council of Europe’s confidence-building measures and has been providing a unique opportunity for young people from conflict-stricken regions to meet and understand the process of transforming conflicts.

Biljard den 28 oktober var superkul! Med våra två bord och flertalet spelande medlemmar kunde vi spela många matcher, njuta av god mat och läskeblask.
Nog gömmer det sig biljardstjärnor inom studenterna som till vardags studerar något helt annat.

De 5 medlemmarna i den svenska delegationen, som representerade KRISS, har deltagit i World Student Christian Federations European Regional Assembly.

Det var ett informativt och superkul 2-dagarsmöte med böner, lekar, reflektionsgrupper, meditation, mentalvårdssamtal och självklart: val av en ny regional styrelse!

En ny europeisk styrelse valdes och från KRISS valdes Agge Angusson till en av de två nya ledamöterna i den verkställande kommittén. 

Mötet avslutades med ett föredrag om hur vi som lokal, nationell, regional och global rörelse ska gå vidare och vi är superglada för det arbete som ligger framför oss

During the weekend of 4 and 5 November, 24 young people from 10 different countries came together to participate in this years European Regional Assembly. The ERA is the highest decision making body of WSCF-E and the place where decisions about the program, direction and budget of WSCF-E are made. It is also a platform for our member movements give insight in their work and to network. While this year’s Assembly had to be held online, a few members of the outgoing European Regional Committee (ERC) had the chance to meet in Kassel, Germany to coordinate a smooth running of the Assembly. We are very thankful for all the work outgoing ERC members did during the last couple of years and for the newly elected ERC members to implement the decisions and ideas made during the Assembly. Soon, we are going to publish calls for vacant ERC positions which couldn’t be filled yet.
